We’re thinking about starting a fundraising process, and have begun doing investor outreach. Investor Relations can be quite tricky, as it’s often difficult to see from a firm’s website what it is exactly they look for and if they’d be a good fit for you.
I created a sourcing bot in Town that understood our business thoroughly and understood the investor profile we were looking for. It goes out every day and grabs a batch of ~5 high quality firms that could be a potential fit for us, provides an explanation why, and identifies a target lead.
It’s saved me so much time of empty searching, and let’s me be surgical in my approach. My cold outbound response rate is hovering at around ~23% at the moment, which I partially attribute to how specific my targets have been.
