My most useful Town routine is almost embarrassingly simple- it’s turned into a personal CRM that basically runs itself.
Every time an external meeting wraps on my calendar, it logs whoever I met into my Airtable: name, role, company, email, LinkedIn, how we got connected, and level of closeness. It pulls all of that from the web and my email context, so the fields fill themselves in and I never have to touch it.
Why I love it- I meet a ton of founders and investors, and my contact list used to go stale the second I made it. Now it just builds itself in the background and I never lose track of who I met or how we crossed paths.
I still have edits I want to make. I want to include tags, granola note summaries, and use my contact list to generate new folks I should get to know.
Here’s where I’m stuck though. I want to make this collaborative so my whole team can feed their contacts into one shared base. Has anyone built a team version of this? How would you set it up so everyone can zap their contacts to a new airtable without causing duplicates or getting things all muddled? Would love to chat with folks who have played around with this.
